Dr. Brianna Villa
Dr. Brianna Villa brings a wealth of experience in education, program development, and community engagement to her role as Region Manager for the University of Arizona’s Yuma location. A Yuma native, Brianna’s career spans diverse roles, including her current position in Continuing Medical Education at Yuma Regional Medical Center, where she successfully led the unit to earn Arizona Medical Association accreditation. Previously, she worked at Pearson Online Learning Services, managing partnerships with institutions such as Arizona State University, the University of Southern California, and Washington State University, where she oversaw teams in course design, marketing, and student engagement. Earlier in her career, Brianna taught at Kofa High School, earning “First-Year Teacher of the Year” honors, a testament to her dedication to student success.
Brianna’s deep ties to the Yuma community are reflected in her extensive volunteer work with local organizations, including the Yuma County Public Library, Humane Society, and Yuma Multiversity Campus. Her doctoral research, “Impact of culture in a rural, underrepresented community on non-college completion,” focused on Yuma, showcasing her commitment to understanding and addressing the unique challenges of the region. As Region Manager, Brianna leverages her expertise to guide regional development, strengthen partnerships, and expand educational opportunities to meet the evolving needs of Yuma, La Paz, and Imperial Counties.
