Teaching Resources
Support for Instructors
ODCE serves students from many different backgrounds, each with distinct motivations and learning styles. To support our faculty in effectively teaching these students, we provide specialized resources and best practices on everything from course development to new technology.
Our Student Population Explained
ODCE serves several student populations including distance learners seeking bachelor’s and master’s degrees, learners seeking new skills or short-term certificates to advance or enter new careers, pre-collegiate students seeking early discovery of college experiences and curious learners ages 50+ seeking to enhance their knowledge via self-enriching courses.
Through our Near You Network, distance learning allows students to earn University of Arizona degrees without having to relocate to main campus. They can complete their coursework through a mix of online, hybrid and in-person classes held at UA locations around the state.
Our continuing education programs cater to professionals aiming to advance in their field or pivot their careers. These programs may lead to certificates or industry certifications. Additionally, individual courses can be taken for knowledge and skill enhancement.
